Import Sessions

If you have a lot of session information that you’d like to import onto your device, or onto multiple devices, then you can create a session file on a webserver and import it into MidpSSH.

Bold Text

Import File Format

The import file is a text file consisting of one or more lines. Each line may specify either an SSH session or a Telnet session. Other lines are silently ignored.

ssh [user@]host [alias]
telnet host [alias]

The sections in []s are optional. The host may contain an optional port specification, ie. host:port.

Doing the Import

Create your session import file and upload it to a public website. Make sure that it is accessible from the public internet. Then start MidpSSH, go to the Sessions screen and choose Import from the menu. Enter in the URL to your session import file. MidpSSH will then import the sessions and report how many it has imported.

If you have problems with the import, first double-check that your phone can browse to that URL. Perhaps try browsing to it using the web browser on your phone.
